| AS a newsboy in Omaha, Harry Langdon used to watch shows from back-stage.
He first stood behind the footlights on an amateur night. After that he
joined a medicine show, following this experience with several seasons in
vaudeville. It is not strange, considering his varied background, that he
has given the screen many poignant and humorous characterizations. Born
in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 1929, he married Helen Walton, having divorced
his first wife in 1928. His comedies took on greater value with the coming
of the talkies. |
