| WILLIAM POWELL made up his mind that he wanted to be an actor while he was
still in High School and proceeded to take a course at the Sargent American
Academy of Dramatic Art. When, in 1922, he entered motion pictures he had
gained an enviable reputation on Broadway. Mr. Powell was born in Pittsburgh,
Pa., July 29, 1892. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 160 pounds, and has dark brown
hair and grey eyes. He is divorced from Eileen Wilson. They have one son.
He excels in suave man-of-the-world roles. |
