| LEWIS STONE has been soldier, cowpuncher, big game hunter, sailor and actor.
He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1879. When the Spanish-American
War broke out, he was with one of the first regiments to enter Cuba. Then
he decided "to see the world," and joined the Navy. He tried cowpunching
and acting for a medicine show. Later he took up serious acting and, after
a short experience in stock companies, became a leading man. He naturally
drifted into pictures. He is five feet, ten and three-quarters inches in
height, and weighs 174 pounds. Grey hair and hazel eyes. Married. |
