ANNA MAY WONG was born in Los Angeles Chinatown. She was educated in the public schools but, always intensely ambitious for a screen career, she found time to study dancing and to appear in amateur theatricals. Marshall Neilan discovered her when she was playing as an extra girl and gave her a part in ''Dinty.'' She has straight black hair and brown eyes, weighs 120 and is 5 Feet, 4 1/2 inches tall. With the advent of the talkies she went to Europe and made a name for herself in films there.
